Our guests value:
Modern Nomads properties are defined by bold, layered interiors featuring original textiles, pillows, and décor from Winton and Waits, the globally inspired lifestyle brand founded by Modern Nomads creator Jenna LeBlanc.
Each property has its own personality, shaped by travel, artisan craftsmanship, expressive color, pattern, texture, and the belief that memorable spaces should make you feel something.
Guests will find:
No two Modern Nomads properties are alike, but they share a recognizable creative point of view: collected rather than coordinated, expressive rather than predictable, and designed to become part of the experience itself.
Intentional spaces create a foundation for connection.
Modern Nomads is quietly rooted in Round Top, Texas, a small town with an outsized influence on design.
Long before it became a destination for collectors and designers, Round Top shaped Jenna and Ty’s understanding of space. Weathered barns, European antiques, heirloom textiles, and open Texas pasture reinforced a simple idea: authenticity cannot be replicated.
Round Top celebrates a layered approach to design, where spaces feel collected over time rather than completed all at once.
That same philosophy informs every Modern Nomads property.
Vintage pieces with real patina are layered alongside modern elements. Architectural details add warmth and character. Textiles, art, objects, and unexpected finds are chosen not simply to fill a room, but because they contribute to the story of the space.
Walls really do talk.
And when a space feels personal, layered, and alive, it creates a foundation for connection.
European whimsy meets Texas heritage.
Old-world craftsmanship meets modern livability.
Southern charm meets expressive maximalism.
The result feels less like a theme and more like a creative point of view guests can experience.
Each Modern Nomads property is designed to feel discovered, a place shaped personally by Jenna and Ty over time, where the details reveal themselves slowly and the joy is found in the layers.
Modern Nomads is part of a growing category of design-forward hospitality brands redefining the vacation rental experience.
Guests familiar with boutique hospitality and curated stay brands such as Graduate Hotels, Proper Hotels, Ace Hotel, Camp Lucy / Folklore, and Fieldtrip Hospitality may recognize a similar emphasis on strong visual identity, memorable environments, and experience-driven stays.
Modern Nomads distinguishes itself through its founder-led design identity, highly individual properties, and the integration of original textiles and décor from Winton and Waits, the lifestyle brand founded by Jenna LeBlanc.
Modern Nomads was co-founded by designer Jenna LeBlanc and custom home builder Ty LeBlanc, a husband-and-wife team whose combined expertise in design, construction, and hospitality shapes the brand’s distinctive guest experience.
Co-Founder and Creative Director
Jenna LeBlanc is the founder and creative director of Winton and Waits, a globally inspired lifestyle brand known for expressive textiles, layered interiors, and bold use of color and pattern. Her design vision shapes the visual identity of every Modern Nomads property.
Jenna also brings more than 25 years of experience in luxury event planning and design, where she built a reputation for creating elevated, highly considered guest experiences.
Co-Founder and Builder
Ty LeBlanc brings more than 25 years of experience building luxury custom homes and restoring historic structures. His background in architectural flow, spatial awareness, construction quality, and guest functionality helps ensure that every Modern Nomads property is both visually distinctive and highly livable.
Known for a strong eye for detail and a willingness to push the envelope creatively, Ty plays a central role in identifying properties with hidden potential and transforming them into thoughtful hospitality environments.
Modern Nomads grew from a shared belief between Jenna and Ty LeBlanc: that beautiful things can be built again, often with greater purpose and meaning than before.
Their partnership reflects more than a creative collaboration. It is a shared vision rooted in restoration, renewal, and the belief that meaningful things can be built again.
They are naturally drawn to spaces with stories, often vintage homes or overlooked properties with untapped potential. Through thoughtful renovation and intentional design, those spaces are brought back to life, preserving the character that made them special while creating something fresh, functional, and deeply personal.
Together, Jenna and Ty blend design, craftsmanship, and hospitality into a cohesive collection of distinctive vacation homes.
Through years of creative work and global travel, they have developed a design language rooted in expressive interiors, collected environments, thoughtful architecture, and immersive hospitality experiences.
Their collaborative design style draws from artistic influences gathered through travels around the world, along with vintage pieces and memories rooted in Jenna’s childhood near Round Top, Texas. Today, Round Top is widely recognized as one of the country’s distinctive destinations for antiques, interiors, and collected design.
Best known for the Round Top Antiques Fair, this tiny Texas town draws designers, collectors, makers, and vintage enthusiasts searching for:
That influence can be felt throughout every Modern Nomads property.
But Round Top is more than a source of design inspiration. It is also woven deeply into Jenna and Ty’s story.
Jenna spent many of her formative years in an old farmhouse on 80 acres near Round Top, surrounded by historic architecture, open landscapes, old objects, and spaces that felt collected rather than decorated. Those early experiences helped shape the way she sees homes today.
Years later, Jenna and Ty became engaged beneath a century-old oak tree in Round Top, surrounded by the landscape that had already played such an important role in Jenna’s life. It was there that they said yes to building a life together and, in many ways, to the shared creative story that would eventually become Modern Nomads.
Their Round Top wedding and story were later featured in 360 West Weddings.
This exact moment mirrors the feeling Jenna and Ty work to infuse into every Modern Nomads property: a sense of place, story, discovery, and connection.
Twice a year, they load up their 14-foot trailer and head to Round Top for the antique show, sometimes making multiple trips to bring back vintage furniture, architectural pieces, and found objects. These pieces are not chosen simply because they are old. They are selected for their character, patina, and ability to add warmth and individuality to a space.
That sourcing process has become part of the Modern Nomads design language: Round Top-inspired interiors, Texas and European influences, layered vintage pieces, expressive color, and a collected approach that feels personal rather than manufactured.
For guests drawn to design-forward vacation rentals, boutique stays, and interiors that mix vintage charm with bold, maximalist personality, Modern Nomads was created with that experience in mind.
By sourcing vintage pieces and designing homes with a collected, story-driven approach, Modern Nomads creates stays that feel curated, personal, and intentional.
Jenna explains:
“Long before it became a destination for collectors and designers, Round Top shaped our understanding of space. Its landscape, weathered barns, European antiques and architecture, heirloom textiles, and open Texas countryside taught us that an immersive environment can genuinely influence how we experience life. The Modern Nomads experience is designed to stay with a guest long after the trip is over.”
She continues:
“It shaped the way we design, the way we host, and the way we layer the eclectic, the vintage, and the modern. At the core is the belief that places should feel meaningful, not manufactured. Round Top gave us that foundation. It taught us to see beauty in the imperfect and to understand the value of taking something overlooked and turning it into something beautiful. Modern Nomads is simply an extension of that beginning.”
A life built intentionally.
