Some occasions demand more than a single vacation rental. La Maison du Lac was created for exactly those occasions.

This large-group vacation rental on Lake Granbury brings together four distinctive Modern Nomads properties: The Blanc, The Noir, The Lake Château, and The Riviere Skoolie. Each property has its own nearby address and private spaces, but all four can be reserved together through one coordinated group booking for up to 54 guests.

Located along Long Creek and the Lake Granbury waterway, the collection gives large groups something one house rarely can: room to gather, room to spread out, and four completely different places to experience.

The Blanc is a six-bedroom lake home for up to 20 guests that has been featured in 360 West Magazine. The Lake Château offers French-inspired character, a private dock, a pool, and an oversized hot tub beneath its covered waterfront veranda. The Noir brings a moodier personality with a private pool, hot tub, barrel sauna, putting green, and vintage outdoor bathing tub. The Riviere Skoolie is an intimate converted bus with its own private bathhouse, lake access, and sleeping space for four.

La Maison du Lac works especially well for multigenerational family reunions, wedding-weekend accommodations, corporate and church retreats, milestone celebrations, girls’ trips, and other gatherings where guests want to be together without spending every moment under one roof.

Four properties. Up to 54 guests. Four distinct design stories. One coordinated Lake Granbury stay.

Designed for groups who appreciate boutique-hotel atmosphere but need the space and privacy of multiple homes, La Maison du Lac offers a design-forward alternative to booking separate hotel rooms or unrelated vacation rentals.

Living & Design

Four properties. Four design worlds. One unforgettable Lake Granbury stay.

La Maison du Lac is not defined by one interior. It brings together four distinct design identities, each shaped by the Modern Nomads belief that a space should feel collected rather than decorated and intentional rather than manufactured. Throughout the four-property collection, vintage finds, expressive color, original artwork, and Winton & Waits textiles give every home its own story.

At The Blanc, Round Top antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces fill expansive living spaces that feel like a well-traveled home collected over decades. A restored carousel horse displayed on its original floor-to-ceiling pole anchors one bedroom, while a hand-carved statement wall brings craftsmanship and character to the dining area. It is a home that rewards guests who slow down and notice the details.

At The Lake Château, French-inspired architecture meets playful, layered design. The Kensington Primary Suite centers around a rare vintage round king bed, while the West Palm Bunk Room creates a memorable communal sleeping space with direct pool access. Wallpapered stair risers, the Social Club pool mural, and Round Top antiques give the home personality without losing its sense of elegance.

At The Noir, a pink pool table establishes the mood the moment guests walk through the door. After dark, pink and purple lighting transforms the open living space, while the neon message “I like me better when I’m with you” captures the home’s playful spirit. Moody, expressive, and unmistakably intentional, The Noir provides a striking contrast to The Blanc’s collected warmth and The Lake Château’s French-inspired character.

And then there is Hope, The Riviere Skoolie. This hand-painted converted school bus brings an entirely different personality to the collection, with a ceiling mural, twin beds layered in colorful textiles, and a queen bed at the rear overlooking the lake. Part glamping retreat and part design experience, Hope is often one of the first sleeping spaces guests claim, and it is easy to understand why once you step inside.

Four properties. Four design stories. Space for up to 54 guests to gather, explore, and find a favorite corner of their own.

Fourteen bedrooms. Up to 54 guests. Space to gather and recharge.

La Maison du Lac offers large-group accommodations across four nearby Lake Granbury properties, with fourteen bedrooms and sleeping space for up to 54 registered guests.

The Blanc contributes six bedrooms with a mix of king, queen, double, twin, and bunk accommodations. The Lake Château adds four bedrooms, including the Kensington Primary Suite with its vintage round king bed and the large West Palm Bunk Room. The Noir offers three expressive bedrooms with permanent beds for 10 guests and additional fold-out beds for larger groups. The Riviere Skoolie completes the collection with a queen bed at the rear, two twin beds at the front, and a lake view through the back windows.

Each property has its own personality, giving guests a choice between private bedrooms, flexible family sleeping arrangements, communal bunk spaces, and the one-of-a-kind Skoolie experience.

With four separate properties reserved together, large groups gain room to gather while still having quieter spaces to recharge. And someone will probably still wish they had claimed the bus first.

The Lake Château

The Kensington Primary Suite – The one-of-a-kind vintage round king anchors a primary suite that is as much a design destination as a sleeping space. A sitting area, curated lighting, and the kind of layered bedding that signals this room was taken seriously complete a suite that earns its name.

The Peacock Paradise Bedroom – A queen bed in a room that signals its personality immediately. Expressive, considered, and carrying the tropical layered design energy of the rest of the property into a private sleeping space that guests remember long after checkout.

The Majesty Suite – A double bed and a bunk bed make this the most flexible private room in the house – equally suited for a solo guest who wants their own space, a parent and child, or two guests who don’t mind sharing close quarters in a beautifully designed room.

The West Palm Bunk Room — The room that changes the math for large groups entirely. Two king beds, four twin beds, and three trundles in one communal space with its own living area and direct pool access. Sleeping up to 12 guests in a single room that was designed rather than simply configured, the West Palm is the reason The Lake Château can genuinely sleep 18 without compromise.

The Blanc

At The Blanc, the Vintage Primary Room features a king bed, a quiet reading nook, multiple dressers, and two closets. The spacious en suite bathroom includes a private water closet, dual sinks, a soaking tub, and a double shower, creating a comfortable private retreat within La Maison du Lac.

The Abstract Room at The Blanc is bright and open, featuring a queen bed surrounded by expressive artwork and thoughtfully collected design details.

The Carousel Room at The Blanc features two twin beds and a fully restored vintage carousel horse mounted from floor to ceiling, creating one of the most memorable sleeping spaces at La Maison du Lac.

The Bohemian Room at The Blanc is a cozy queen bedroom with a private closet and layered, collected details that give the space its relaxed character.

The Bunkroom at The Blanc features a twin-over-full bunk bed, a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and two additional twin beds, creating a flexible shared sleeping space for families and younger guests.

The Double Room – A spacious private suite featuring two luxurious double beds, perfect for families or friends traveling together.

The Sunroom – A bright, flexible lounge with two pull-out sofas that can accommodate up to four additional guests. Please note that this is a common living space, not a dedicated bedroom.

The Riviere Skoolie

Rear Sleeping Area – A comfortable queen bed at the back of the bus features an optional privacy curtain and beautiful lake views through the rear windows.

There are two twin beds located at the front of the bus. Each has a dedicated light (for reading at night, etc).

Four properties. Four outdoor experiences. One Lake Granbury escape.

La Maison du Lac brings together four nearby waterfront properties, each with its own outdoor personality and resort-style amenities. Reserved together, they give large groups access to pools, hot tubs, lakefront gathering spaces, wellness features, games, and multiple ways to experience the water.

The Blanc offers two gas grills, a cowboy-style fire pit near the water, and a private boat ramp suited for small fishing boats, flat-bottom boats, and personal watercraft. Its oversized game room provides an indoor alternative with poker, pinball, air hockey, shuffleboard, ping pong, foosball, and other activities for days when the group wants a break from the water or the weather keeps everyone inside.

The Lake Château centers its outdoor experience around the Social Club pool and an oversized hot tub beneath the covered waterfront veranda. A cantilevered private dock extends over Lake Granbury, while a lakeside fire pit, covered dining space, kayaks, and direct water access make it easy to move between gathering, relaxing, and time on the lake.

The Noir adds a private sport pool, hot tub, barrel sauna, and vintage outdoor bathing tub. Guests can also enjoy a lakeside fire-pit lounge, putting green, kayaks, oversized waterfront swings, and outdoor gathering spaces overlooking Long Creek.

The Riviere Skoolie offers a smaller, more intimate lakefront setting with its own fire pit, kayaks, outdoor seating, and private bathhouse. It gives guests a quieter place to slow down while remaining part of the larger La Maison du Lac experience.

Across the four-property collection, guests also have access to multiple outdoor dining areas, fire pits, swings, horseshoes, cornhole, and a fleet of kayaks. Together, these spaces give large groups the flexibility to gather around the pool, spend time on Lake Granbury, relax by the fire, or find a quieter corner of their own.

Lake Granbury at your doorstep. Historic Granbury close by.

La Maison du Lac is located along Long Creek, part of the Brazos River and Lake Granbury waterway. The four properties have separate nearby addresses, giving large groups multiple private spaces while keeping everyone within the same general lakefront area.

Warren’s Backyard is just a few minutes away, and the restaurants, wineries, shops, and entertainment surrounding Historic Granbury Square are approximately 10 minutes from the properties. Fort Worth is generally a 45 to 60-minute drive, depending on traffic and the destination.

Water access varies by property. The Lake Château has a cantilevered private dock, The Blanc has a private boat ramp, and the collection offers kayaks and multiple places to enjoy the Lake Granbury shoreline.
